Still Soaring at 102: Jackie Rides Her First Roller Coaster!

At Arise Physical Therapy, we love celebrating our clients' milestones, but Jackie keeps setting the bar higher!

Two years ago, we shared the story of Jackie turning 100 and checking off a major bucket-list dream: ziplining through Lake Geneva. With the support of her physical therapist, Kelly, and the Arise team, Jackie showed us all that age is truly just a number.

Now at 102 years young, our clinic superstar and resident thrill-seeker is back at it again—this time, taking on her very first roller coaster ride!

Defying Expectations & Staying Mobile

When Jackie created her bucket list in her 70s, she filled it with adventurous dreams. Continuing to pursue those thrills in her 100s takes more than just spirit—it takes balance, strength, joint mobility, and confidence.

Through regular, personalized physical therapy sessions with Kelly at Arise Physical Therapy, Jackie works consistently on maintaining her physical health. Whether preparing for a routine day at St. Monica’s Senior Living or prepping for her next big adventure, her dedication to staying active keeps her moving forward.

Physical Therapy for Every Stage of Life

Jackie’s incredible journey highlights what we strive for with every client at Arise:

  • Preserving Independence: Mobility work helps maintain core strength, balance, and coordination.

  • Empowering Lifelong Goals: PT isn't just for injury recovery—it’s designed to help you live life on your terms.

  • Building Long-Term Vitality: Staying active at 70, 80, 90, and beyond helps keep the body and mind energized.

We could not be prouder to walk (and ride!) alongside Jackie on her journey. She continues to inspire our entire team, her fellow residents at St. Monica's, and anyone who thinks it's ever "too late" to try something new.

What's next on your bucket list? Whether you're aiming to ride a roller coaster, go on family walks, or simply move with less pain, the team at Arise Physical Therapy is here to help you get there.
